The first time I saw Max Wellman, I was sitting in a booth at Mars Café. I was hoping for a bit of quiet time to get some work done on a project. By the end of the evening, the project had been put on hold and I was enchanted by Wellman’s charming expressions and his believable gestures as he sang blues and jazz standards.
A Des Moines native, Max Wellman’s melodic voice and soothing sounds have been heard all over parts of the metro and the United States – from Mars Café to Hoyt Sherman, Nashville to New York, and from Chucks to Nitefall on the River. Max has also been a part of Jazz in July and the Arts Festival.
Be sure to catch Max at the House of Bricks at 5:30pm at this year’s Little Big Fest.
