DSM Soundcheck is a concert series designed for emerging artists (under the age of 21) to have an opportunity to work with the Des Moines Music Coalition, Station 1 Records, and xBK Live. We want to help put on a great show and develop young musicians, artists, and music professionals in the Des Moines music scene. While the spotlight is onstage, students from DMMC Youth Music Education classes and camps are also invited to participate in the behind the scenes of the event, learning and helping put on the show.
The next all ages DSM Soundcheck event is set for January 25th, 2023, and we will be back at xBk Live! We are keeping admission prices to the show LOW at only $5 before the day of show. Grab your tickets HERE and let’s show up to support these young artists!

The first DSM Soundcheck show took place April 6th, 2022, where The Crust, Dirty Blonde, and Kelsie James packed xBk and gave us a great evening of music spanning multiple genres. All of these specific groups ended up recording and releasing music shortly after the show and joined us at the Emerging Artist Stage at 80/35 Music Festival that summer.
