The 10th Annual Gross Domestic Product has been scheduled for Saturday, April 25th in the East Village. The main stage will be at Wooly’s, with performances and pop-up shows happening in other spaces throughout the neighborhood. Between 15-20 local musical artists will perform; one of those spots will be selected through an online survey.

If you’d like to be considered for this spot, submit a song to the event’s Director Angela Rauch by emailing angela@desmoinesmc.com. The song must be an MP3 and include the song name and artist name in the file as follows: SONGNAME_ARTISTNAME.mp3

Submissions are due by Monday, February 16th at 5pm. Songs will be posted for public consideration on Tuesday, February 17th, with the survey closing on Thursday, February 26th at 5pm. The selected artist, along with the full lineup for Gross Domestic Product, will be announced at the Des Moines Music Coalition’s Backstage Ball on Friday, February 27th.

Gross Domestic Product specifically aims to highlight those original artists in our community who are working to promote their music through recordings, music videos, online marketing, touring, and more, and have been particularly active in the last year.
