On Tuesday, May 3 through Wednesday, May 4 the DMMC participated in Give Local Des Moines a community-wide event celebrating local nonprofits. During this 24-hour crowd funding event, Give Local challenged Des Moines residents to celebrate the spirit of giving and inspired everyone to give to the nonprofit organizations that make our city stronger and create a thriving community.

Thank you to everyone who participated in ‪#‎GiveLocalDSM‬ last week! Des Moines was able to raise $58,461 total with $2,710 going to the Des Moines Music Coalition. Because of your generous donations, we’ll be able to have a strong Summer Music Camp program for kids to make our city stronger and help our community thrive. Thank you, Des Moines!

Your contribution helped put more kids on the 2016 Music Camp stage!

The $2,710 donated to the DMMC will help fund our 2016 Summer Music Camps.  These camps teach kids confidence and teamwork (important skills needed to play in a band), and introduces them to new friends who share the same passion.
