The Warner Music Group is looking to expand their business in Des Moines.  They are going to be recruiting for College Marketing Representatives in the Des Moines area for the 2013-2014 school year. The Warner Music Group is the world’s largest record company and has brought acts to Des Moines in the past such as Iron & Wine, The Black Keys, Steve Miller Band, Death Cab for Cutie, as well as contributions to this summer’s 80/35 Festival like Wavves and David Byrne & St. Vincent.

What does a College Marketing Representative do? Representatives work with the music community around the city to create avenues of exposure for WMG artists and projects. This includes working with local businesses, promoters, DJs, and tastemakers as well as gathering personal consumer feedback.

Applicants must be enrolled in college with a good academic standing with at least two semesters left before graduation. The job will demand 18 hours per week for two semesters and is a paid position.
