Yes, it’s true. Influential reggae rapper, Matisyahu will perform a short selection of songs from his latest album Akeda, and lead a question and answer session at the 2014 Music University conference on October 4-5 at Drake University (Harmon Fine Arts Center and Meredith Hall, 2507 University Ave., Des Moines).

Plus, we’ve got iconic singer-songwriter, Bob Mould leading a songwriting workshop and panel and performing at the showcase. And, Dee Dee and Jules of the Dum Dum Girls are heading up a musicians workshop and will perform an acoustic duo set at the conference.

Our second annual music industry conference will feature panels, forums, workshops, and presentations by nearly 40 national, regional, and local music industry experts.
