Sara WIlliams and Marc Bailey are two childhood friends that make up the folk duo, Ira Grace & the Bible Belt Prophets. With a raw and stripped down sound, the duo brings a strong personal edge to their music. Sara and Marc both play acoustic guitars, while singing harmonies and swapping lead vocal roles.

Ira Grace & the Bible Belt Prophets will demand your attention, and you will be glad you gave it to them. The pair’s sweet vocals combined with some gorgeous guitar work makes for a great folk set; and an excellent palate cleanser after hearing some of the heavier acts of GDP, like Omens or Holy White Hounds.

Ira Grace and the BBP released their first album, entitled Big Tent Whiskey Revival, which you can stream and download on the duo’s bandcamp page. Some highlights from the album is the opener Wake You in the Morning, with a great driving guitar line; and the beautiful Carolina Postcard which really showcases what great singing voices these two have.

Give them a listen and make sure to support them and all of the 18 Iowa bands at this year’s GDP.
