GDP will showcase 19 Iowa bands playing a range of progressive indie, rock, hip-hop, electronic, folk, soul, punk, and experimental music at five different 4th St. venues, allowing fans to walk from location to location throughout the night. New elements this year will include free music stages, an open mic stage and an event featuring local DJs spinning vinyl from their personal collections.

Free Stages and Events
This year, GDP will feature free stages and stages specifically focused on an all-ages crowd on the patio at Vaudeville Mews, at The Lift and at the Des Moines Social Club.
DJ Schedule
DJs will begin at The Lift on 4th St. at 5 p.m. and admission is free. Featured DJs spinning from their personal vinyl collections will include DJ Bob Nastanovich, member of indie rock legends Pavement, and DJ Hogstyle (aka Marc Hogan), music writer for Spin, Pitchfork, and Emusic! DJs at The Lift will be curated by Patrick Tape Fleming of The Poison Control Center.
Open Mic Event
In collaboration with the DMMC, the Des Moines Social Club will present a special version of its open mic program, “Open Circus” at the Kirkwood. This location will also offer games, contests, and ticket giveaways, and other interactive elements.
Tickets for GDP
Advance passes for GDP are sold out. 50 more all-access passes will be available for $20 on April 13th at 5 pm, and include access to 19 bands. Passes can be picked up at the Kirkwood lobby. Individual tickets will be available day of show at the individual venues for the following prices:
