From the Pit: A Juried Exhibition of Des Moines Concert Photography
Music is the heartbeat of Des Moines. From the Skywalks to venue stages, our city is making noise about the incredible, homegrown talent resonating nationally and overseas. “From the Pit: A Juried Exhibition of Des Moines Concert Photography” highlights the explosion of innovation among local creatives and displays the thriving music scene that makes Des Moines so attractive to touring artists and young professionals. Des Moines is making waves – get in the pit and hear it for yourself!
Submissions open: May 24
Deadline for submissions: June 14
Artist notification: June 16
Opening Reception: July 14
Exhibition ends: July 31
Guidelines for submissions:
+ No more than 3 entries per artist
+ Photo must be from a live music performance in Des Moines
+ Work must be printed, matted, framed, and wired for hanging by the artist (if selected)
+ Work must be for sale (60% to artist)
+ Submit the following to gallery@desmoinessocialclub
+ Digital image of each entry (no more than 3 per artist)
+ Dimensions of printed photo and frame size
+ Date of photo, venue, and performer
