The Greater Des Moines Music Coalition's Little BIG Fest is set for Sat., Nov. 21. The fourth annual local music festival organized by the volunteers of the DMMC will move locations this year to People’s Court.
Putting talented Iowa bands at the forefront, Little BIG Fest is an alternative culture celebration featuring the best of Iowa’s roots, jam, blues, bluegrass, folk, and acoustic music. Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 30 at 2 PM on IowaTix for $10 or take advantage of a special offer by signing up for DMMC front row membership for $25 by Nov. 20 and get a free 80/35 t-shirt and Little BIG Fest ticket.
The goal of Little BIG Fest is to help further the mission of the DMMC to grow the independent, progressive live music economy in Des Moines. Events like Little BIG Fest provide an opportunity to spotlight some of the top local and up and coming artists in Iowa. “This festival is a great opportunity to explore the variety and talent our music scene has to offer,” says Amedeo Rossi, DMMC project manager. “If you don’t normally attend local shows, come to Little BIG Fest and experience our music scene for one night. Many who have come to our events in the past often find themselves going to many more shows at local venues in the future.” Main Stage 7:00pm - Omega Dog 8:15pm - Workshy 9:30pm - Jefferson County Green Band 10:45pm - Brother Trucker 12:00am - Floodplane Backstage Bar 7:15pm - Pennyhawk 8:45pm - Thankful Dirt 10:00pm - Mr. Baber's Neighbors 11:30pm - Maximilian Eubank 12:45am - Johnny on Point
